BLACK Sabbath – minus drummer Bill Ward – are working on a new studio album and have written 15 songs. It is the first album Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi have done together for some 34 years.

metalinjection.com reports recording under Rick Rubin has progressed well, with 12 tracks to make the final, as-yet-unnamed album. Geezer Butler is writing all the lyrics, with Iommi having already recorded all the guitars.

One song title is “God Is Dead”. The venue for the recording is Shangri La Studios in Malibu.

GREAT White frontman Jack Russell was released from Hospital on October 17 after suffering an intestinal infection. He was placed on an IV and treated with antibiotics after his version of the band was forced to cancel shows.

The Florida gigs in Sanford and Jacksonville were moved to the following weekend. There are currently two bands touring under the Great White moniker, with Russell suing his former bandmates over his sacking.
