HOT METAL Magazine was established in 1988 and ran as a print publication until the mid-nineties, based in Australia but expanding – at its height – to the United Kingdom.
It was revived as a website in 2011 by journalist Steve Mascord, who first coined the name of the masthead as a 19-year-old.
Our aim is to carry on the spirit of an iconic brand by combining archival material republished with the permission of the authors with new features and reviews.
